A FEW FAQ's:
Where are you based, and do you travel for weddings?
I'm based in San Francisco, and I love to travel throughout California for weddings in Sonoma, Napa and Marin counties, as well as the Central Coast. I am from a small island in the PNW and love shooting in Seattle, Bainbridge and the Tacoma and Vashon Island area as well. I do travel for weddings; clients generally reimburse me for a flight and 2 nights of affordable lodging for weddings far beyond the Bay Area.
Do you shoot film or digital? What kind of equipment do you use?
Both! I started my career shooting everything on film. These days, clients can request rolls of film in addition to baseline digital packages. Digitally, I shoot with Canon, but when I’m using film I use a Yashica twin lens camera from 1960’s Japan, a lovely medium format Nikon or a small point-and-shoot 35 mm.
Where are you located?
The lovely city of San Francisco, smack dab in the Castro. I share a beloved Victorian flat with my partner and our young son, and our collection of records, artwork, cookbooks and kimonos.
Do you travel?
Definitely! Let's chat.
How much will it cost for you to photograph our wedding?
Mini packages are available (digital coverage only) starting at $2500, and Standard Photo Packages start at $4200. Just send me an email with your wedding date, guest-list size, location and any particular events happening at your wedding, and I'll suggest (or customize) a photo package that's just right for your wedding and your budget.
Do you offer custom prints, engagement sessions, rehearsal dinner coverage or other add-ons?
Of course! Let's talk.
I think I'm having the smallest/coolest/most amazing wedding ever--can you work with a smaller budget?
Most likely, yes. Packages may be customized to suit specific budgets and events, be they condensed or extended.
How much do you consult with couples before the wedding?
All packages include thorough consultations with couples in the months before the wedding to discuss important details about their plans: everything from stylistic preferences, cultural rituals and ceremony details, to the event location, wedding day timeline, and desired group shots with friends and family.
Can I look at some wedding portfolios you made for other couples online?
Yes, certainly. You can find recent wedding portfolios I've made for other couples here: Wedding portfolio. If you’d like access to a certain gallery, or a few galleries from a specific town or venue, just ask—this can offer a clear sense of how I share finished photographs with my clients.
Where can I see more of your work?
Perus this website, or feel free to take a look at my personal instagram or my wedding instagram, which I don’t really use much anymore, as I prefer being offline, shooting, scavenging, swimming, and being with my friends and loved ones.
How can I get in touch with you?
Feel free to send me a client inquiry on the ‘Info’ page or shoot me an email me at airykarockefeller@gmail.com. I look forward to hearing from you!
